The hockey stick market is divided into 2 different categories, pro stock and retail. If you've been curious about what a pro stock stick is, let me fill you in.
A pro stock stick is a hockey stick that has been specifically designed and manufactured for hockey players at the highest level. We work with over 200 different pro clubs, ranging from junior all the way up to the NHL. Pro stock sticks come in batches of 6 to 12 sticks for a player, but if the player decides that they want a certain spec changed on their stick, that entire batch is rendered useless for said player and that's where we come in. We purchase those extra sticks and sell them back to you at a heavily discounted rate. At HockeyStickMan, you're getting the highest level of the latest models of hockey stick at a fraction of the price of a retail stick.
Pro stock sticks come in a vast assortment of different customizations, for a vast assortment of different players all across the hockey world. From curves, weights, flexes, grips, shaft shapes, custom name bars and graphics, every pro hockey player may require something different, which has led to us having an incredibly large selection of sticks available at heavily discounted prices. There is a pro stock stick available to suit every type of player, and almost every stick in our inventory is from the 2024-25 season, and with our inventory fluctuating fast, if you've got your eye on the perfect stick for you, there is no better time to buy than now.
If you've ever heard that pro stock sticks are all "dressed", not all of them are dressed but I'm here to let you know what a dressed stick actually is. A dressed stick is when a player may like an older version of a stick, for example the Bauer Nexus 2N Pro. The player may have come to love this stick and want to continue using it, but Bauer comes in and says "Hey, that's no problem, we can make that stick for you, we're just going to put a different graphic on it." For Bauer, they want the most eyes to see whatever the newest stick is that they're selling, so they may make this player the Bauer Nexus 2N Pro with the specs they need, just "dressed" as a Twitch. That is what it means when a stick is dressed. It is a simply one model of a stick with the graphic of a different stick. Every stick we get also has a manufacturer specific code on it, letting us know what the stick actually is, so rest assured the stick you're getting is a top of the line stick.
So is a pro stock worth it? We certainly think so, and I hope some of the information I've relayed here will help you decide to buy your next stick at a heavily discounted price, only found at HockeyStickMan! You can shop all our Pro Stocks here.
