If you're any bit of a gear nerd like us you may have noticed some of these sticks during the NHL preseason but lets break some down and see what's new out there and being used by the top players in the NHL.
First up is Macklin Celebrini rocking this CCM vision that is set to replace the FT ghost. As a first overall pick it makes sense to see him using this unreleased stick, similar to how Matthews is the only one using the FT Ghost.
Next up one of the coolest looking sticks to be released recently is the Bauer Twitch, Olen Zellwegger is rocking a nice teal colour one here and we got a few broken ones in that we refurbished as well.
CCM's most powerful stick, this mid kick Tacks XF pro changes up the design from the Tacks yellow with a white and grey look that we are here for.
Bauer upgraded their Nexus line this year with this highly sought after Tracer. Featuring a 5 sided shaft still and a pretty minimalist graphic, here's Jack Eichel using a red one in warmups.
Willy Styles, arguably the coolest guy in the league rocking this new Sherwood Encrypt Pro with a very eye pleasing green and blue graphic that gives off a special agent or cryptic coding type of vibe, hence the name Code Encrypt, I think they may have nailed this one.
The most popular low kick series in the league is the CCM Ribcor, now featuring the all new Trigger 9 Pro seen in the hands of Tage Thompson here, probably cut down to chest height..crazy specs from this guy.
Warrior has been killing the game recently and this QR6 isn't super new but has got lots of traction since it's release and I'm pretty sure it's because it's all black and looks like a Pro Blackout™ in fact that's definitely why.
This stick isn't new but we thought we'd make a mention to the fact that Auston Matthews is still using the FT ghost and is the only one to do so in the entire NHL.
Last but not least, and my favourite of the twig spotting we've done, this is Jeff Petry using the CCM FTW, which technically speaking is a women's stick, but I'm sure it's just the graphic and perhaps it's to support the PWHL and women's hockey.
That's all the new sticks for now, follow us on social media for more content like this and get fired up because regular season NHL is back!
