When it comes to Pro Stock goalie pad sizing, every set of pro stock goalie pads we have were all sized specifically for a professional goalie, and that means that nearly every set is different. There are steps you can take to ensure that when it comes to purchasing pro stock goalie pads, you can be almost certain you're getting a set of pads that are the perfect size.
The ATK Measurement (or Ankle to Knee Measurement) is the standard practice in determining what size of goalie pads you will require. By measuring from the center of your ankle bone to the middle of your knee with a measuring tape on the outside of your leg, the inch measurement will be what size of pads you require. Goalie pads also come in a +1 sizing, the +1 means that there is an extra inch of padding in the thigh area of the pads, for extra protection near the top of the pad. We use this system to measure all the pro stock goalie pads that we source, and by measuring yourself before purchasing, you'll be able to have an idea of what pro stock pads you're looking for, as we also use this system to measure all the pro stock pads we source. On top of the ATK measurement, we also measure the Boot and the Knee to Top of each set of pro stock pads we source, and use all of these measurements to provide you with a general idea of how the pads stack up to a retail measurement of goalie pads.
