What stick does Alex Wennberg use?
A former first round pick in 2013, Wennberg has established himself as a key piece of Seattle’s forward group. The 28-year-old appeared in all 82 regular season games this season tallying 13 goals and adding 25 assists for 38 points.
The Stockholm native was the last active NHL player using the CCM RBZ Revolution before moving to Bauer mid-season. His RBZ Revolution with a P28 Max Blade and 80 flex was one of the nicest sticks ever, in our humble opinion. He must have agreed, because he kept using the white-bladed stick for a decade.
It’s clear Wennberg is new to Bauer as the “13055-4” code below is name bar denotes that this is only his fourth different version of stick Bauer has ever produced for him. For some perspective, other players are into the 20’s, 50’s and even 70’s of different versions of stick that Bauer has made for them. The speedy center carried his specs over to Bauer as this AG5NT dressed as a Hyperlite features a P28 curve and 82 flex. While standing at 6’1”, Wennberg does prefer to use a bit of a shorter stick for a guy his size, with this AG5NT measuring at stock height of 60”. It was interesting to see the change from max blade to non-max blade in this case, so
we’re curious to see if he ever switches back.
