What stick does Jake Sanderson use?
Although Jake Sanderson's North Dakota Fighting Hawks lost a tight one to Notre Dame and won't be playing in next weekend's Frozen Four in Boston, the young American defenseman has plenty to look forward to after wasting no time signing his entry-level contract with the Ottawa Senators.
The 5th overall pick in 2020 and former captain of the US World Junior team will bring big expectations with him from the NCAA to the NHL as a top prospect. Though he typically used team issued CCM sticks at North Dakota, he will now have brands lining up to have him using their twigs in the show as a potential future star.
One such brand is True, who have been among the most aggressive manufacturers when it comes to making and sending out samples to NHL players over the past few years. In this case the twig is True's latest release, the Catalyst PX with Sanderson’s preferred TC2 (Blade 1) curve, 95 flex, and textured tactile grip.
